Forschung

Research Interests

In the last several years I worked on the following topics:

  1. Study of physics of disordered and mesoscopic systems based on application of the supersymmetry technique and other field theoretical methods. Extension of the supersymmetry method to include electron-electron interaction. Construction of a generalized sigma-model (superbosonization) for description of ballistic electron transport and quantum chaos.
  2. Physics of granular materials. Study of effects of Coulomb interaction on transport properties of granular systems in both metallic and insulating regimes. Superconductivity and superconducting fluctuations. Calculation of Hall resistivity in granular systems.
  3. Proximity effects in superconductor-ferromagnet structures. Prediction of the existence of an odd triplet superconductivity and of a spin screening. Calculation of transport properties of such systems.
  4. Development of bosonization schemes for study of low temperature behavior of clean Fermi gases with a repulsion in arbitrary dimensions. Discovery of unusual logarithmic renormalization and calculation of thermodynamic and kinetic quantities.
  5. Properties of graphene. The behavior of this system is very unusual due to a Dirac-like electron spectrum. Study of effects of disorder and interaction on transport.
