Each faculty of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum is to have honorary Equal Opportunity Officers. The Equal Opportunity Officers can participate in all faculty meetings and appointment committees of the faculty, giving them the opportunity to influence the faculty’s development on every level. At the same time, they are the contact persons for all ideas, problems and matters concerning equal opportunities at the faculty. The Equal Opportunity Commissioners form the link to the higher-level institutions (Equal Opportunity Office and Equal Opportunity Commissioner of Bochum.) Each status group has the opportunity to elect a representative.
Currently Karolin Hymon (Student) and Dr. Ivonne Möller (Research Associate) represent the faculty interests. We are happy to help in all equality issues - please send us an email.
We would like to inform you about our planned actions or projects of our faculty. Our goal: To build a network from the first year student to the secretary to the professor.
We regularly organize a shared breakfast: we provide bread rolls, coffee and tea – everyone brings some topping for the rolls. The dates are published here and sent by e-mail.
In order to facilitate worldwide networking and individual further education, travel is financially supported.
If you have completely new ideas for projects, please let us know your suggestions, so that we can take them into account in the further planning.
