You want to improve your language skills, immerse in a foreign culture, change surroundings for a while? Why not go on a semester abroad? The easiest way is to apply for a place at one of the RUB's partner universities.
If you're interested in going abroad during your studies but you're not sure where and how, you're welcome to take part in one of the group consultations of the International Office in the winter semester 2019/20. Students who plan to do an internship in a European country in the academic year 2019/20 can apply for the ERASMUS internship scholarship. Information and deadlines are provided here.
If you plan to study abroad during the acdemic year of 2020/21, you can now apply for a tuition free ERASMUS study stay. Applications should be coordinated with the respective ERASMUS coordinator of your faculty. Further information can be found here.
RUB students can apply for the scholarship program "Metropolises in Eastern Europe" until March 15th, 2020. In 2020, the German Academic Scholarship Foundation again provides full scholarships for studying in eastern europe, funded by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation. Eligible applications require a period of stay of at least seven months, up to four semesters. More.
PROMOS is a BMBF-funded scholarship programme offering financial travel grants for students. Apply here (deadline: March 1st, 2020).
The german-american Fulbright Commission organises a summer studies programme for students with a migratory background intended to prepare the participants for studying and living on an american university campus. You are eligible for application if you are a student with a migratory background enrolled in the second, third or fourth semester of a full time bachelor study programme. Included in the scholarship are the fees for the courses, accomodation and meals on the university campus as well as travel expenses and overseas health insurance. Deadline is February 24th, 2020.
In 2020/21, the french government again offers an internship for german students and graduates, who are able to carry out an internship with an MP in the french parilament, the Assemblée Nationale. Prior to this, a semester of studies at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris will prepare the participants for their internship. Deadline for applications is March 23rd, 2020.
