On Saturday, October 21, the Saturday Morning Physics took place for the first time in the Pauluskirche in Bochum.
The aroma of fresh waffles and an engaging lecture drew a curious audience to Bochum’s Pauluskirche on Saturday, October 21. It marked the first time the Department Physics and Astronomy at RUB hosted a Saturday Morning Physics event there. Hosts Pastor Constantin Decker and Associate Dean Prof. Ilya Eremin welcomed the interested audience and opened the lecture series for the 2023/2024 winter semester. Before the lecture began, the Department student council Department refreshments in the form of fresh waffles and coffee; afterward, Prof. Dr. Anna Franckowiak took the audience on an exciting hunt for ghost particles in the universe and spoke about neutrino astronomy at the South Pole.
