As the department’s gender equality officers, our goal is to ensure that all members of Department, regardless of gender, receive the best possible support and have the opportunity to develop their talents. In our volunteer roles, we have the opportunity to directly influence this goal, as we can participate in all committee meetings and appointment committees and serve as points of contact for any ideas, issues, or matters Department gender equality within the Department .
In addition, we form the bridge to our colleagues at the higher-level institutions (Equal Opportunities Office and Equal Opportunities Officer of the Ruhr University Bochum).

Breakfast to bring along
We regularly organise joint bring-along breakfasts: we organise bread rolls, coffee and tea - everyone brings something for "on the roll". The dates will be published here and E-mail sent out.

Digital Women's Week at the RUB
The RUB Digital Women's Week offers many exciting events for all female colleagues from science, technology and administration. International Women's Day on 08 March marks the start.
After a welcome by the rector, all female colleagues can further educate themselves and exchange ideas in various event formats on different topics. The final event is the format "Zooming female Artists", in which a well-known female artist is introduced.

Travel allowance
In order to enable worldwide networking and individual further education, travel is financially supported.
If you have completely new ideas for projects, please let us know your suggestions so that we can take them into account in further planning.
