16.04.25 | Research, International

From April 9 to 11, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s fellowship meeting took place at Ruhr University Bochum. A total of 114 researchers from 37 different countries gathered for this networking conference. A special highlight of the program was visits to various research institutes at Ruhr University, including the Department Physics and Astronomy. On Thursday, early-career researchers in physics, mathematics, and computer science were guests at the Astronomical Institute with Prof. Dominik Bomans and in Applied Solid-State Physics with Prof. Daniel Hägele. There were keynote presentations by Bochum-based scientists and the Humboldt scholars. The aim of the event was to create opportunities for international networking and to familiarize the new Humboldt scholars with research and life in Germany.
