Workshop Radioactivity in the environment

Where can you find natural radioactivity? And how? We will find out together - through hands-on experiments in the laboratory of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy.
Observatory tour: The stars firmly in view
Time: 12:30-13:30
Location: RUB Observatory (meeting point: entrance to building NB, Nordstraße)
The Astronomical Institute opens the doors of the observatory at RUB. You will get an insight into how we research the formation and evolution of galaxies there.
Workshop tour: Meet the alchemists of the physics labs
Time: 14:00-14:30
Location: Mechanics workshop of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy (meeting point: entrance to building NB, Nordstraße)
The employees of the mechanics workshop manufacture all kinds of high-precision parts from pieces of metal. Find out more about their work. By the way: the workshop also offers apprenticeships.
We will also have a stand at the HZO and will be offering study advice throughout the day. Anyone who is thinking about studying physics is cordially invited to come by and find out everything you need to know about studying with us.
