Prof. Dr. Reinhard Schlickeiser has been awarded the Distinguished Scientist International Fellowship of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGGCAS). The President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) grants this award to support leading international scientists on a one- to two-week lecture tour to the CAS in Beijing.
In November, Prof. Schlickeiser will travel to China for two weeks and give two lectures at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics and another CAS institute. These lectures offer a valuable opportunity for exchange with researchers and doctoral students at CAS.
"I am very pleased that Prof. Dr. Hongqing He, who was a research associate in my lab in Bochum from 2014 to 2016, is now hosting me in China. His successful career in China shows his great talent and commitment to science. During my visit, we plan to revive our previous successful collaboration on solar cosmic ray transport in the heliosphere and initiate new joint research projects."
