March 29 is Astronomy Day and Space Day. All over Germany, research institutes, observatories, astronomical societies, planetariums and museums open their doors and invite people to look at the stars together. Astronomy fans of all ages are cordially invited to visit the campus on March 29 and take a closer look at the partial solar eclipse or planets in our galaxy.
What visitors can expect:
10:50 am:
Observing the sun with telescopes
Guided tour of the Campus Observatory: colleagues from Ad Astra give an insight into technology and telescopes
After dusk:
Planetary observation with telescopes
The route to the observatory will be signposted from the central forum on campus.
We look forward to welcoming all amateur and young astronomers who would like to spend the Day of Astronomy with us.

By the way: anyone who hasn't had enough astronomy on the weekend is cordially invited to the physics musical "PLANETAMOS". Organized and performed by physics students from the University of Bonn, PLANETAMOS is coming to the Ruhr region for the first time on 29 and 30 March and will also take place on the RUB campus. More information on show times and registration can be found on the event website.
